Pearls and Ruffles

Pearls and Ruffles

(Silver Plated, Pearl Glass Beading, Green Aventurine Beads, Silver Bead Caps)

The inspiration for this line was the ruffle or ruff collar worn in the Elizabethan era.  The beads are closely framed by the ruffled bead caps very much like the ruffs worn around the neck.  In each of the pieces I have used two shades of beads.

White and Dark Green

A really lovely combination of pure elegant white pearl and a drop of colour with the subtle yet very rich shade of dark green.

Green Aventurine and Dusky Pink Pearl

I love this combination of green aventurine and dusky pink.  The two colours work really beautifully together.

Double Pink

A lovely piece that uses two tones of pink beading - a rich dark pink with a dusky pink accent looks really beautiful and feminine.

Thanks

Green and Black

Green and Black

(Silver Plated, Black Gemstone, Black Seed Beads, Green Glass Beads, Black Pearl Beads)

The Black and Green line is quite a different style to the more soft and feminine style that dominates the Mio Handmade Jewellery range.

The bracelet uses black stone, green crackle bead and black seed beads to give a really rich and dramatic effect.  The bracelet uses a weaving technique which makes this piece really unique.

Bracelet Detail

There are three different earring options that each have their own style and inspiration whilst remaining within the beautiful colour range of rich black and jungle green.

Single Drop

A simple elegant piece which uses green with an accent of black beading.  The smaller green bead that is framed by two black seed beads has smalle black details painted on to bring the green and black shades together.

Green and Black Drops

Left - Green with a Black Accent
Right - Black with a Green Accent

The two pairs of earrings have been crafted in the same way to allow for a cluster of various stone within the same piece.  However, the piece on the left uses more green shades with an accent of black.  The piece on the right uses two different sizes of black pearls, black stone and green and black painted beads to add the slightest hint of green.

Thanks!
